The Geofoam Research Center (GRC) at Syracuse University is dedicated to research of geofoam properties, development of innovative applications, dissemination of technical information and technology transfer through education. The center has assisted manufacturers, engineers and contractors with both large and small projects. GRC has given technical seminars to state department of transport staff, consulting engineers and university audiences. Development of standards and performance verification of geofoam projects are also areas of interest of GRC. The center was established in 1997 through industry support. Results from research work at GRC are shared through this web page in good faith and without warranty for any specific use or application. Case history contributions are featured to promote awareness of the diverse benefits of geofoam.
